How to Release Negative Thoughts Quick

June 10, 2015 by admin

The other day I read that most people only read 20 – 25% of blogs. So should I stop here? Maybe not but I will be very brief today. Let me know if it works better for you.

brain under microscope Let’s face it, we all have negative thoughts at one time or another. This last month has been particularly challenging for me and the negative thoughts have been creeping in. So I turned to my trusty Kundalini yoga, which of course has a meditation to release negative thoughts.

I’ve been practicing when I remember which I wish I did more because it really makes a difference.

It goes a bit like this. With your in-breath you have the negative thought (or bunch of them). You breathe out through your mouth with your lips in the shape of an O. As you breathe out you release the negative thought.

Easy and effective.

Physically this works because breathing out activates the Parasympathetic Nervous System (rest and digest, calm and connect) and associates that with releasing the negative. So the more you breathe out the more you associate the simple act of breathing with letting go.

Beautiful! Try it.
